Re: Hallelujah Concert, RDS Simmonscourt, Dublin
Dear Parents & Guardians of 3rd and 4th classes,
The concert will take place on Saturday, December 11th at the RDS Simmonscourt in Dublin.
This very successful concert series is in its 12th year. The children sing as part of a choir of hundreds, accompanied by Gearoid Grant and his RTE Concert Orchestra. The guest performers for 2010 are The High Kings.
Schedule for the day
12.45pm gather at the school
1.00pm bus departs
3.00-6.00pm rehearsal (choirs only)
6.00-6.30pm break
6.15pm doors open to parents
7.00-9.15pm concert
11.00pm approx bus arrives back at the school

Children must wear a plain white T-shirt/top [no logos] (and dark trousers or skirt.)
Children to bring a good packed lunch (no sickening junk food or sweets; no fizzy or other high sugar drinks.) Include an extra bottle of water to sip during the concert. Include an extra snack for the journey home.
Recommended: children to bring a red and white Santa hat.
Optional: children to bring a tiny battery-operated torch (starlight effect for some songs – torches must be safe and tiny [no beam.])
Children not to carry any money. (No trips to the shop.)
Optional: the children may carry a mobile phone. However, the phone must remain switched off throughout the day. Phones can be switched on during the journey home – the children can phone home to confirm their arrival time.
Tickets: 1 ticket for sale at the school office. Otherwise, tickets will be available at the door on the day of the concert at the ticket office in the RDS. Our school will be seated in the ‘Red Block’ – ask for tickets in that area.
Children not travelling home by bus: Parents can arrange to collect their child by speaking to the principal. Don’t take your child without speaking to the principal. (We must ensure that everyone is accounted for.)
