Rainy Day Poems
We used our five senses to write poems about a rainy day.
We thought about what a rainy day looks like, feels like, sounds like, smells like.. and what it tastes like!
A Rainy Day by Jack
Drip drop,
Splash, Clatter,
Let the rain
Fall and patter.
A Rainy Day by Dara.
People running to their cars,
Umbrellas out,
Pitter, Patter on the window of the car.
Wet and cold on a winter day.
Cold and watery,
Drip, drop, drip drop,
electric lightning coming down.
A Rainy Day by Tom B.
Drip, drop
When will it stop?
Pitter, Patter,
Hear it clatter.
Wet and cool,
A big huge pool,
Splish, splash,
Have a wash!
A Rainy Day by Ffion
Splish, splosh pitter patter goes the rain,
How I wish I didn’t have to go out today.
Crish, crash, bing, bang,
I wish I was in bed.
Oh no! I am oging to bed right now..
I am gone!
A Rainy Day by Eden
Rain is the funnest thing you could ever ask for.
You could ask for a lot more,
But thie is the best!
A Rainy Day by Erin
I can see the rain clashing on the ground,
I can hear the thunder in the sky,
I feel rge splashes on my hand,
I can smell the smoke from the chimney,
I can taste the fresh water.
A Rainy Day by Dana
Rain, dark clouds, mist and hail
People running, umbrella up.
Pitter patter, drip, drop, drip, drop.
Splash, splash, clatter,
Wet, soggy, cold.
Warm green smoke,
Fresh flavours.
A Rainy Day by Caoimhe
Raining again.
Dark clouds and mist.
When I look out the window I see people running with umbrellas.
I can hear the rain from the ceiling,
Drip, drop.
Smell the smoke from the fire burning,
Taste the refreshing rain drops.
