We were awarded a Green Flag by An Taisce! Gorey Town Mayor Bernard Crosbie raised the flag with the help of pupils from our Green Schools Committee. Other members of the Town Council were also in attendance.
The Mayor visited all the classrooms and heard about our efforts to recycle more, to control litter and to compost some of our waste. Children on the Green Schools Committee spoke about their work over the past two years and presented slideshows.
Pupils, parents, staff and guests gathered outside for two special recycling songs and the raising of the flag.
