An art experiment and you’re invited!
Children in junior and senior infants and their parents/guardians are invited to participate in an open art session with artist Roisin Markham on Thursday, 25th March, 1.30-2.15pm, in the After-school Activity Room upstairs.
A ‘make and do’ family activity will be offered, along with ideas for creative projects at home, plus a focus on thrifty art supplies.
Suggested donation €5. (An honesty box system will be in place.) Book a family space by signing your child’s name on the noticeboard or ‘phoning the school office.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade: Our group will meet by Tomkins Suzuki Garage at 2.45pm sharp. All are welcome. (This year we are near the head of the parade-don’t be late!)
The children remain under the care & supervision of their parents throughout the event (most parents walk along with the children in the parade.)
The group will disperse in the Community School car park, near the end of the parade route.
The children should bring their homemade instruments with them on the day – something to shake, bang or blow. (Parents can do the same!)
Everyone can dress-up for the occasion (bright colours, St. Patrick’s Day garb, Samba costume, face paints, etc.) or come as you are.
Final practice: 10.50am at the school tomorrow, Tuesday. Any available parents are invited to join us. (Many thanks to the volunteers who’ve been helping us over the past week.)
