Friday, 10th December: Staff Meeting. Infant classes finish at 12.15pm, other classes finish at 12.30pm. (Families with siblings: infants will be supervised until 12.30pm. Infants using school buses will also be supervised until 12.30pm.)
Saturday, 11th December: 3rd and 4th classes participate in Hallelujah Concert, RDS, Dublin.
Sunday, 12th December: PTA Winter Fair
Wednesday, 22nd December: End-of-Year songs, poems, etc. performed by Junior and Senior Infants (11.45am,) 1st and 2nd classes (12.45pm,) 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes (1.45pm.) All are welcome. Venue: the school hall.
Wednesday, 22nd December (evening): The children on the School Council invite you to attend our School Disco. To be confirmed.
Thursday, 23rd December: End of Term. Classes finish at 12noon. (Infants can be collected at 11.45.) School reopens Monday, 10th January 2011.
Readathon: Well done to all the children who took part in this year’s event. Please return cards and any sponsorship to the school by Wednesday, 1st December.
School Accounts: The school’s financial accounts are certified annually by Eugene T. Doyle Accountants, Enniscorthy. The most recently finalised accounts are now posted on the main notice board on the ground-floor hallway.
Hallelujah Concert: Louise and Brendan’s classes continue to prepare for the concert on December 11th. They are rehearsing a vast array of songs, including: Daydream Believer, Beidh Aonach Amárach, The Moment, Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, The Hucklebuck, Karma Chameleon, Kids in America, The Fields of Athenry and many more! Optional: the children can bring a red & white Santa hat (for the Christmas medley) and/or a tiny battery-operated torch (starlight effect for some songs – torches must be safe and tiny [no beam.])
Lost & Found Clearout: Our overflowing Lost and Found cupboard/shelves will be emptied on December 1st. Items without nametags will be given to a local charity shop. Parents: please check for missing items before December 1st.
Sports News: Well done to all our teams who took part in the FAI Futsal Competition and the Rackard League football shield. One of the girls’ teams made it to their semi-final, but were unlucky to be knocked-out on penalties.
Head Lice: Help keep head lice at bay. Check your child’s hair on a regular basis and/or seek advice from your pharmacist.
Traffic Safety & Parking: Mind that child! Drive with extreme care on school grounds. Keep clear of pedestrian crossings.
