This Friday, 7th October: ‘Breakfast Together’ event in aid of the ‘Childline’ charity. All children will be offered a bowl of Cheerios cereal with milk. The children need to be able to talk about their food allergies. At least 6 parent helpers are needed — meet in the kitchen at 9am. Thanks! Suggested donation €1 or €2 per child.
Tuesday 4th October (3rd & 4th classes) and Tuesday 11th October (5th & 6th classes:) Gorey Credit Union quiz nights for local schools. 7pm sharp, Amber Springs Hotel. Arrive by 6.50pm. A number of the children in our older classes will participate in the events. All children remain under the care of their parents or guardians throughout this event.
Thursday 6th October, 1pm-1.25pm: Parents and Guardians of the new Junior Infants are invited to attend a short information meeting with Cathy and Chloe (daily routine in the infant classroom, lunches, clothing & footwear, homework.) The Junior Infants will be supervised by other staff during this meeting.
Monday 17th October: A small group from our 4th class will travel to the Office of the Ombudsman for Children in Dublin to participate in workshops associated with the Forum on School Patronage.
Book Fair
Book Fair open for browsing & sales (parents and/or children,) as follows:
Friday 7th October: 1.20pm and 2.20pm
Monday 10th October—Wednesday 12th October: 8.40am, 1.20pm and 2.20pm
(Parent volunteers will be available as cashiers at the above times.)
All classes will also browse the Fair at some stage during the week.
