We finished off our Green Week with some healthy “green grub”. The parents worked hard all morning making us some delicious fruity snacks. We loved the fruit kebabs and water melons. Thank you so much!
On Friday the pupils of 4th/5th class gave a whole-school assembly during Green Week.
It was a lovely day so we held the assembly outside!
We gave an update on the Green Schools campaign and how we got on this year. We have been working on speech writing in English, so, as part of the assembly, Luke, Sean, Anna and Sophie R. gave some very convincing “Protect the Earth” speeches We fininshed our assembly by singing our Green Schools song “We Will, We Will Recycle!”.
As part of Green Week the whole school went for a ‘Walk On Wednesday’. WOW!
We marked out a special circuit on tha playground and did a few laps. It was a good way to keep ourselves fit!
We really enjoyed our walk. It reminded us that we need to leave the car at home more often and take a walk instead!
We had fun in the sun creating our ‘Go Green’ banner. This is part of this year’s Green Week
Take a look…
Activities include environmental art, environmental talks and walks, puppet shows and green menus.
