Every classroom is a hive of activity!
We heard all about new ClassCharters during Friday Assembly. Our Learn Together noticeboard (opposite the PTA room) makes for very interesting reading – this month, it’s the turn of 6th class with their unique ’All About Me’ posters! Football, rugby and hockey will soon add to the already busy school days of our older pupils. Songs as diverse as GreasedLightning, CottonEyeJoe and An Maidrín Rua can be heard throughout the building, as 2nd and 3rd classes begin rehearsals for their ’HallelujahConcert’ in December. This term we will be participating, for the first time, in the Intel Mini-Scientist event. Vincent Kennedy will soon return to continue work on our Musical Theatre project. The list goes on… Parents — see for yourself! You are invited to spend some (more) time with your child’s class during our OpenClassroom event on Thursday 29th September (see side panel.) This is a short, informal event for available parents & guardians. Look out for more ways to become involved in school life in future newsletters. Raymond Swan, principal
