Friday, 5th November: PTA coffee morning (‘the 1st and 3rd morning of every month.’) 9am. All are welcome.
Tuesday, 9th November: FAI Futsal competition in our school hall and Naomh Eanna GAA club, Gorey. (A number of children in our older classes will participate in this event.)
Wednesday, 10th November: Waterford Youth Arts will present a theatre piece – How do you see us? – for 5th and 6th classes. (Theme: How is the developing world portrayed in Ireland?)
Thursday, 11th November: Trip for 2nd class to Lifeboat Station, Courtown.
Thursday 18th and Tuesday 23rd November: Main dates for Parent Teacher Meetings, (before and after school.) Details to follow.
Friday, 19th November: Staff Meeting. Infant classes finish at 12.15pm, other classes finish at 12.30pm. The 15-minute separation helps the traffic-flow. Do not obstruct the school buses. (Families with siblings: infants will be supervised until 12.30pm. Infants using school buses will also be supervised until 12.30pm.) All buses depart at 12.30pm. No after-school supervision session on days when classes finish early.
Saturday, 11th December 2010: 3rd and 4th classes participate in Hallelujah Concert, RDS, Dublin.
PTA Sponsored Walk: A total of €4301 was raised! Many thanks for all the support. This money will be used to purchase equipment for our special classes for children with autism. (Details to follow.)
Soccer & Team Work: In-school coaching for 6 Wednesdays, (4th, 5th and 6th classes.) Coach: Mikael Allain.
Hallelujah Concert: This very successful concert series is in its 12th year. Children in our 3rd & 4th classes will sing as part of a choir of hundreds, accompanied by Gearoid Grant and his RTE Concert Orchestra. The guest performers for 2010 are The High Kings.
